I finally get around to sharing this one! Despite my moaning about the weather this morning, the sun has come out and so this dress is coming out to play too.

I have made it specifically for layering in winter and although I was unsure about it when I first finished it, it has grown on me. I'd like to make another in a textured knit, but just need to find the right fabric.

I live in leggings and long-sleeved tops in winter, not only for comfort, but also because if I need to go out, all I need to do is throw on a tunic, jacket and shoes and I can walk out the door. I threw this on over leggings and a top the other day and it covered all the food stains that Nick had left on my top :D Perfect.

Body is stella and sleeves are campante. I took it in a lot at the sides and I think the top could be smaller too, but I based the sizing on my bust measurement - which I took just before feeding  So next time I'll make a size smaller. I never did exactly work out the armhole binding they instructed, so I just topstitched and am happy with that. Loving the pin tucks. There need to be more pin tucks in the world.

I got the most adorable monster buttons from Lisa which Bradley loves (looks just like the monsters in the movie).

I'm thinking I'd like to use them on a cord jacket. And hoping to line it with a monster fabric. Ideally flannel, but to be honest, I'm sure I could make just about anything work so long as it had monsters on it :D

I'll be googling around, but just wanted to check here first in case anyone had spotted some.

This is made in white stella. It's come out really nice and looks better on. I've made this top to go under a dress that I'm yet to sew, but now I'm concerned the front is too bulky as it has 2 layers of fabric. I might have to make a more simple Otto long sleeve t-shirt, but I was trying to kill two birds and have a t-shirt Alex could wear on its own or with the dress.

As much as I like jalie patterns, the instructions make them more complicated than they have to be! I would cut a lot of corners next time to save some time! Its quite a fitted shirt too.

Thanks for looking
