Shiv, I did overlock all the seams on the back. It only takes about half the time of the sewing, gives it a much stronger finish, and I've made one of these a couple of years ago and after many, many washes, it is still going strong. I did french seams on the pillow cases, though. Marie, I had to think back to when I started these, becasue it seemed so long ago, some time in the very distant past, but in all reality, it took about a month and a half, or around 8 weeks for both, and that's with some time off. I find these "tune out, no brains" sewing and quite relaxing!

Both are totally gorgeous Lori. Would be a great stash busting idea too if you didn't want to go down the total quilting path.
