Default Hi again

Hi again,

I joined up last September when my laptop worked. Sadly, it stopped working in Feb, and I didn´t remember the site until yesterday (no bookmark on my husband´s computer)! So maybe a re-introduction is in order...

I am Dawn, American, 42, two little kids (boy, 5 & girl, 2), married to an Angolan and living in Angola (to make money). I sent all my fabric here (boxes and boxes) in a container on a ship that finally arrived a few months ago. Now I have begun a very fun stash busting adventure! I have little to no access to any sewing supplies here (no stores and no mail). That might make things interesting. I just had dh bring me back some elastic when he was in the states for a few days (not enough). And for the first time ever, I have an actual sewing room. It is just housing my stuff for now as I have moved my machine into one of the two air conditioned rooms for the moment (that is, when we have electricity from the grid).

Anyway, here are some things I have made just recently, that I haven´t posted about separately:

OOPS! I missed one. This was made from an old t-shirt of mine using a pattern from Pattern Play on Etsy:

I have quite a few untouched Farbenmix patterns that I am hoping to attempt (I will need help). And I have some beautiful Nani Iro fabric that I am afraid to cut (will need perfect patterns). So, that´s who I am and what I am up to......

I added one more pic up top. Please excuse the messy hair and chocolate face. She was in a posing mood, but not in a grooming mood.....

Wow you have been busy and lucky to have a sewing room. And what an opportunity to destash with no way of buying more! Lol
